"Da 5 Bloods": Movie Review

Four Vietnam vets return to Vietnam to retrieve their gold left by their fallen squad leader (Chadwick Boseman).
Appalled, heartbroken, and miserably let down, there isn't a single redeeming scene in its 154-minute runtime. Atrocious casting, acting, and woefully executed supporting roles (even by legends such as Clarke Peters and Isiah Whitlock Jr.) wither down an already unbearable experience. In a rare attempt of arrogant glee, Lee has single handily created an ineptitude that I didn't think was merely possible to put out into a cinematic experience.
Besides its godawful, ever-changing aspect ratio, it's completely unfocused inability to tell a coherent story is utterly shameful. This is a pitiful example of a film that should've never been made, nor put in the hands of an individual whose pedigree remains in question.
