"Avengers: End Game" : Movie Review

Following right after the devastating events of "Avengers: Infinity War", the Avengers group up for one last time to take revenge on the evil Thanos (Josh Brolin).
Directors, Anthony and Joe Russo, have taken on too much in their final Marvel film (most likely). At 181 minutes, the Russo brothers have crammed in every character, for one last wink and a nod. But all of it feels like one large fan film, without any engaging dynamics or thoughtful dialogue. It's all implemented poorly, bringing in characters that we have gotten to know, feel one dimensional and empty.

Thankfully, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye takes an unexpected leap of intrigue, studying the concepts of sacrifice and family, it's wonderfully done. Also, his relationship with Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson) is absolutely bitter sweet. And even Downey has his quiet moments, which reiterates the feeling that progress has been made with his character since 2008. These pieces of dialogue at least make the film feel alive, especially when the explosions hit.
Through and through, this feels like an overstuffed, safe finale to a highly creative concept. The Marvel films have proved that a budget over 300 Million dollars and an A-list cast, can't makeup for a lack of heart and soul.
