The Lego Batman Movie Review

The Lego Batman Movie: An absolute blast for the whole family

Eye popping fun is the name of the "The Lego Batman Movie" which gives us maybe some hope of what is to come for the DC universe.

Maybe.

But it's more than just a family friendly movie as there are deeper elements to this fun thrill ride, as it discusses themes of loneliness and family. Sure it doesn't get to the level of Pixar or Disney films, but the fast cracking Will Arnett who voices the bat vigilante found his calling. The voice acting here is all top notch as it's cast is definitely having fun here as voices from Michael Cera as Robin to Zach Galifianakis as Joker all give the cast a boost.

Even the music, which rivals the "Everything is Awesome" song, is great as it makes reference to the old batman movies even the old time TV show. Sure it might go off the rails towards the end as different characters from pop culture show up and it might be too kid friendly at times, but it's worth it just to see the eye popping Lego creations come off screen.

If your a parent wanting to take your kids, dont worry as a lot of the jokes here will not only make the kids laugh but you as well. It's a great start to animation this year and while it has a few hiccups here and there, it's a must see.
